July 11th 2005: Urs Janßen successfully ported tin-1.7.9 to UNICOS 9 (yel)
He had to tweak the compiler files, see this link and this link.
December 5th, 2004: Mark D. Baushke reported some additional problems
discovered on
yel running UNICOS 9 to the
findutils-4.2.10 maintainer. Here is a

to the UNICOS 9 issue.
November 16th, 2004: Mark D. Baushke partially ported cvs-1.12.10
and helped GNU maintainers for findutils-4.2.5, GNULIB (used by cvs,
findutils and other GNU packages) and glibc find coding problems
yel under UNICOS 9 (yel)

April 10th, 2004: Dennis Grevenstein
successfully compiled tin 1.7.4 on
majestix
under EP/IX 2.2.1AA.
February 09th 2004: Gunnar Ritter implemented support for the Cray UNICOS binary
CPIO format archives in his project '
Heirloom Toolchest'. This was done on the Cray Y-MP EL
(yel).
March 17th 2003: Frank da Cruz ported
C-Kermit, a tool for
accessing remote systems by several protocols and transfering files to them,
to UNICOS on the Cray Y-MP EL (yel).
February 23rd 2003: Freddy Meerwaldt ported
SysInfo to the
UNICOS operating system, using the Cray Y-MP EL (yel).
